Treat Dad this Father's Day at the Steam Rally

Lister Tyndale Steam Rally in the Castle Meadow
Fri 17th - Sun 19th June 2011

The Lister Tyndale Steam Rally with around one thousand exhibits is a perfect Father’s Day weekend treat. Taking place on the Castle Meadow adjacent to the stunning Berkeley Castle, the event is a must for all Steam enthusiasts, and great fun day-out for all the family.

On Friday 17th the ever popular Past & Present Auction returns, and there will be a full programme of Arena events taking place in the parade arena throughout the day on Saturday 18th & Sunday 19th June. Arena events will include machinery and vehicle displays and demonstrations.

Again this year part of the Saunders Steam Collection will be on display, including the Saunders organ with adjoining stage and dance troop performances on Saturday and Sunday – this is wonderful opportunity as these engines are rarely seen out at shows. There will also be seven large display Stationary Engines at this years’ event, in addition to the usual trade stands and refreshments.

As ever there will be plenty to see and do including traditional fairground rides.

The Castle will also be open on Sunday 19th June when visitors to the Steam Fair will also be able to access the Castle Grounds from the Meadow.
