Magical Winter Wedding
"The most incredible day of our lives"
Natalie & Elliot took a leap of faith when they booked their wedding day here at Berkeley Castle... living in Singapore meant that they weren't actually able to see the venue with their own eyes until much further down the line. Thank-fully their trusted (and extremely lovely!) parents met with our Wedding Coordinator and instantly saw Natalie & Elliot's wedding vision coming to life at the Castle.
After many emails back and fourth and a few skype sessions... It came as a huge relief when the Bride & Groom actually saw the Castle a few months further down the line and fell in love too. Let me introduce Mr & Mrs Barratt...
"We are still on a
major come down from the whole thing. It was so amazing"
From the very initial meeting we knew Natalie & Elliot had a spectacular vision for their big day. With Elliot owning an award winning interior design company (check out www.elliotjames.com/ for inspiration!) and Natalie having a background in events... it was soon obvious that our Bride & Groom had a clear vision.
Maria from Sorori Design and Lauren from Lauren Grey Styling were the chosen suppliers to bring this vision to life.
Friday 16th December 2016
Eight months after our initial meeting, the day finally arrived. Thanks to Natalie's meticulous planning and organisation, everything was in place for the perfect day.
Elliot spent the morning at Tortworth Court alongside family who had traveled from across the globe to be with him.
Meanwhile Natalie and her girls spent the morning at Brook House, the wedding accommodation on the Berkeley Estate, before making their way over to St Mary's Church.
Thankfully the rain held off whilst the bridal party made their way up the private drive to the church.
Thanks to a stunning vintage fur for the bride, the newlyweds headed out onto the crisp winters day to get some shots around the extensive castle grounds.
Whilst the Bride & Groom were floating on cloud nine around the grounds, guests were being entertained in the Drawing Rooms and Maria, Lauren, Immy & the catering team were putting finishing touches to the Great Hall ready for the Wedding Breakfast.
Welcomed in with musical notes from the brilliant Richard Sully, it was time to show Natalie & Elliot the finished Great Hall. Starting from a seven page brief, words can't really do justice to what Maria & Lauren created so we'll let the photos do the talking...
"Everything was beyond perfect, and you completely blew us
away. Planning with you all was a dream, and we really can't thank you enough
for your attention to detail, and being so patient with me"
Following the Wedding Breakfast & Speeches, guests were treated to Expresso Martini's and Whisky in the Long Drawing Room and guided tours of the Castle before dancing the night away.
